Brazil Travel Restrictions due to COVID 19: – Last updated: 3 June 2021
Travel Restrictions: If you are travelling to Brazil, you will be required to take a negative COVID‑19 PCR test before departure and complete the Traveler’s Health Declaration form before departure.
Any foreign traveller (including Seamen) who originated from or transited through the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, South Africa and India in the last 14 days will not to be accepted on flights to Brazil.
This restriction does not apply to:
- Brazilian nationals
- Non-Brazilian nationals with permanent residence in Brazilian territory for a determined or indefinite period
- International professionals on mission in the service of an international organisation
- Expat employees accredited to the Brazilian Government
- Foreign nationals:
- Who are the spouse, partner, child, father or curator of a Brazilian national
- whose entry is specifically authorised by the Brazilian Government in view of the public interest or for humanitarian reasons
- who bear the National Migration Registry
These categories of passengers who have been to or transited through the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, South Africa and India in the last 14 days must undergo a 14‑day quarantine on arrival in Brazil.

COVID‑19 testing requirements
Effective 30 December, all passengers travelling to Brazil, under all ages must take a COVID‑19 PCR test within 72 hours before departing to Brazil. The negative COVID‑19 PCR test result must be presented at check in to be accepted on the flight. Crew and Brazilian Nationals are also required to take the test.
Passengers transiting and not disembarking the aircraft must also hold a COVID‑19 PCR certificate.
Exemptions
Children under the age of 12, traveling accompanied, are exempt from presenting the result of the COVID‑19 RT‑PCR exam; provided that all companions present negative/ non‑reactive RT‑PCR test results for SARS‑CoV‑2. This exemption does not apply to children aged 2 to 12 and traveling unaccompanied, who must present the negative/ non‑reactive RT‑PCR test result for SARS‑CoV‑2.
Children aged 2 years and below are exempt from presenting result of COVID‑19 RT‑PCR exam for travel to Brazil.
Required forms
All passengers must complete the Traveller’s Health Declaration form before departure.
Other information
To help stop the spread of COVID‑19; acrylic masks, masks with valves, bandanas, scarves, single‑layer cotton masks and other non‑medical face masks used for protection will not be accepted at the airport and on board the aircraft.
